On Monday (13/05), the Head of Balikpapan City BPS attended the Public Consultation on the Revision of the Balikpapan City Regional Spatial Plan (RTRW) in the R&D Bappeda Hall.

The establishment of the IKN will indirectly affect the Balikpapan regional spatial plan. Balikpapan is part of the Three Cities strategy (IKN, Balikpapan and Samarinda). Balikpapan Municipality BPS has a role in calculating economic growth in Balikpapan.
