Hello Data Friends!
On Monday (29/07), BPS Kota Balikpapan attended the Focus Group Discussion (FGD) on discussing the city's issues and strategic matters in the Technocratic Draft (Rantek) of the RPJMD Kota Balikpapan for the years 2025-2029. BPS played a crucial role in providing strong inputs for the preparation of the Rantek RPJMD Kota Balikpapan 2025-2029.
To formulate effective strategic policies for the development of Kota Balikpapan during the 2025-2029 period, the Regional Development Planning Agency (Bappeda) of Kota Balikpapan organized a Focus Group Discussion (FGD) with the theme "Discussing City Issues and Strategic Matters in the Technocratic Draft (Rantek) of the RPJMD Kota Balikpapan 2025-2029." This event aimed to identify and discuss various strategic issues and main problems faced by the city to develop a comprehensive Regional Medium-Term Development Plan (RPJMD) that aligns with the community's needs.
One of the key institutions in this FGD was the Badan Pusat Statistik (BPS). BPS contributed by providing accurate and relevant statistical data and analysis, which served as the foundation for decision-making and policy formulation. By offering strong insights on demographic, economic, social, and environmental conditions, BPS helped ensure that the technocratic draft was based on valid and objective data, leading to inclusive and sustainable development.
During the discussion, various strategic issues were raised, including economic growth, equitable development, environmental management, and improving the quality of life for the community. Data and analysis from BPS served as the primary reference in formulating concrete solutions to address these challenges. Thus, BPS's role extended beyond being a data provider to becoming a strategic partner in sustainable development planning.
Through collaboration between the government, BPS, and other stakeholders, it is hoped that the Rantek RPJMD Kota Balikpapan 2025-2029 will reflect the aspirations of the people and address future challenges with the right strategies. This FGD marks an important initial step in the planning process, which will be followed by implementation and evaluation to ensure the achievement of development goals.
