World Children's Day is a moment initiated by UNICEF to raise awareness in fulfilling the rights and welfare of children around the world.

The commemoration of World Children's Day 2024 has alignment with the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), namely creating an environment that can support the growth and development of every child. One of the children's rights that must be fulfilled is proper education.

One indicator that can measure community participation in education from various levels of education and age groups is the school enrollment rate. The School Participation Rate (SPR) provides a general picture of the number of children in a particular age group who are currently attending school regardless of the level of education being followed.

The formal and non-formal School Participation Rate (APS) is divided into 4 (four) groups, namely 5-6 (kindergarten level), 7-12 (primary school level), 13-15 (junior high school level) and 16-18 (senior high school level). the school participation rate at the age of 7-12 years old is very high, namely 99.81 percent where the male population has reached 100 percent and the female population is 99.60 percent. In the age group of 13-15 years, the school participation rate is also very high, reaching 99.27 percent, with 98.27 percent for females and 100 percent for males. Meanwhile, in the age group of 16-18 years, it was 83.41 percent.
