Hello, Data Friends! 👋🏻
Today (15/06) is commemorated as ASEAN Dengue Fever Day. This moment is a reminder for all of us of the importance of prevention and vigilance against the spread of DHF, especially in tropical areas such as Indonesia.
In Balikpapan City, the dengue morbidity data in the last 3 years shows a fluctuating trend:
🔸 2022: 174.5 cases per 100,000 population
🔸 2023: 156.9 cases per 100,000 population
🔸 2024: 239.4 cases per 100,000 population
The year 2024 shows a significant spike compared to the previous year. This is a signal that dengue prevention must be a common priority, especially before the rainy season.
Let's raise awareness and take concrete actions to keep the environment clean and free of mosquito larvae! Because prevention is always better than cure 🏥✨️
